PCL Essentials, Bruising & Aftercare

PCL (polycaprolactone) is a skin-supporting essential used to improve firmness, texture, and overall skin quality over time. I consider this a face lift that occurs gradually.

Because PCL is thicker and sits more firmly in the skin, if a tiny blood vessel is nicked during treatment, some blood can get trapped under the skin. This can make bruising last longer than usual. It can look worrying, but this is often normal and not dangerous.

After 48 hours, gentle warm compresses can help your body clear the bruise. Very light lymphatic massage only (no pressure). Bentpla Gel can be used after treatments because it has heparin to help blood circulation and break up clotted blood, plus anti-inflammatory ingredients like Aescin and Glycol Salicylate to help bruise recovery. Arnica can also help.

Some of our favorite PCL essentials include Miracle L, Miracle X, and Miracle H, which have proven beneficial to so many!

About VO risk:

True vascular occlusion risk with PCL products is considered low when placed correctly. Signs that need urgent evaluation are increasing pain, heat, spreading redness, or skin color changes that get worse instead of better.

Most lingering discoloration with PCL is just a bruise that needs time.
